Zeeland is of course the watersport holiday province that many watersport fanatics have discovered. Whether you are a diver, a sport fisherman, surfer or a competition sailor there is always water that will suit you. Wether you are an advanced sportsman who likes the rough waters or whether you are a beginner who prefers the calm water of the Lake of Veere.
In Zeeland you find water everywhere. Not strange, because almost a third of the province consists of water. It is not just any water: Zeeland has the sea, inlets, lakes, canals, creeks, weirs and naturally the National Park Oosterschelde

Zeeland has many sports you can enjoy. Alone or with a group. There are many schools where you can take lessons or clinics. The courses are optimized to suit everyone's level: learn a new skill or improve your skill. These schools also rent material. You can go for example to: - waterskicentrum de Schotsman; - wind- en kite surf school veerse dam; Vertigo Sports; Xwatersport Beach Center, Thijs surfschool ; kanoa; Vertigo Sports.
Fishing: sea bass, sole, cod, mackerel, garfish, dab, whiting, plaice, founder..... The lake of Veere and the Easternscheldt have ideal spots to go fishing. Fishing bait is available (note: check if you need a fishing permit) You can also join a workshop: beach fishing workshops (Colijnsplaat), seabass and seatrout fishing from the shore, boat and kajak. Or try kajakfishing for pike.
Boats: you can relax with a nice drink aboard a motor yacht, or rent a (motor)boat or take a lesson and discover the small islands in the Veerse lake.
-- Join a boattrip and try to look for seals and porpoises. Departures in Kamperland and Colijnsplaat.
-- If you like to take a voyage back into the natical past, you can join a trip with an old fishing boat or freighter. You even can help the skipper with the sailing. And.. experience is not needed.
