Situated near the world-famous Delta works and surrounded by the North Sea, the Oosterschelde (Eastern Scheldt) and the Veerse Meer (lake of Veere), Noord-Beveland is a real paradise for people wanting to avoid mass tourism and well-trodden paths.
The beaches are nearby: you already find small beaches at a distance of 1200 metres. The Roompot beach is at a distance of 2 km and the Banjaard Beach is at a distance 5 kilometers. The Banjaard beach has facilities like a terrace, toilets and a coastguard.(dogs are allowed during daytime, but the need to be kept on a leash)

--In Zeeland the coast is never far away, because there is almost 650 kilometers of coastline by the sea and inlets. The coast of Zeeland is unspoilt and the beaches differ in every area. But they have all in common, that hey have for years been the cleanest in The Netherlands.
There is something for everyone: about 70 kilometres of clean golden sandy beaches, water sport beaches, family beaches. You can find also cosy little beaches, who disappear when the flood comes. On this beaches link you can find all beaches of Zeeland.
The Zeeuwse beaches garantees you peace and quiet, even in the middel of summer.
- The most beautiful shells can be found at the Kaloot (Borsele). There, you may also find fossils like shark's tooth and wale bones.
The Lake of Veere has no flow and has shallow banks and is therefore ideal for swimmers and the less experienced sportsmen. The water is excellent, a bit salty: in Kats small amounts of sea water come into the lake
